Accuracy

Geo-Dive Ltd has compiled the information in this website as accurately as possible at the time of going live. The hotel facilities described at the hotels are those normally available. However, there may be occasions when an advertised amenity or facility is not available due to maintenance, lack of demand, weather conditions etc. Should facilities be altered or withdrawn for reasons beyond our control we will endeavor to notify you of such changes as soon as possible

All-inclusive packages

All-inclusive packages vary at different hotels. Meals refreshments and activities included in the packages may be subject to time limitations. You may also be charged for some activities, e.g. motorized sports. You may have to wear a wristband or carry ID to qualify for the full range of benefits. Fewer than 18s should not expect to be served alcohol. For a full description of what is included, please call Geo-Dive Ltd.

If a delay to your return flight means that you spend extra time at your hotel, refreshments will be supplied according to instructions given by our local representative and not the board basis of your holiday.

ATOL Customer Prtotection

Geo-Dive holds an Air Organizer’s License granted by the Civil Aviation Authority. This means that the air holiday and flights detailed in this website are ATOL protected. Our ATOL number is 9130. In the unlikely event of insolvency, the CAA will ensure that you are not stranded abroad and will arrange to refund any money you have paid to us for an advanced booking. Baggage Allowance

The baggage allowance on most international flights is usually 20 kg. per person in checked in baggage and one item of hand baggage not exceeding 5kg. Certain airlines may increase the baggage allowance to accommodate diving equipment but this is discretionary and cannot be guaranteed.

Building Work

As resorts develop, it is customary to expect some building work taking place. We endeavor to keep pace with any such work and we will always try to inform you before departure, if time allows.

Dive Packs and Courses

Dive packs are for qualified divers only and usually include tanks, air, weight belt and weights. Additional equipment can be hired and will be charged locally. Prices shown are generally inclusive of boat trip (where appropriate) to and from the dive sites and usually include two dives per day.

Diving packages at the price shown in this website must be pre-booked in the UK and cannot be changed by the resort nor the cost of any unused dives refunded. Pre-booked dive packs must be used on consecutive days. Additional diving may be booked and paid locally. Please liaise with our local representative to take advantage of any special rates available. Any unlimited diving is to be taken on the same days as the boat/shore diving

It is your responsibility to prove that you are medically fit to dive. If you are in any doubt, you should obtain a doctor’s certificate before departure. You will be required to sign a liability release and medical form in resort.

Diving and bad weather

In most destinations, diving is possible all year round. However, as weather conditions can vary from day to day, our diving centers may have to alter their scheduled dive programme to alternative sites or suspend diving altogether if circumstances dictate. (Please note: this is particularly relevant to liveaboard holidays). No guarantees or refunds will be made if a planned dive visit is substituted or suspended.

Diving on Liveaboards

Liveaboards are not usually recommended for non-divers or beginners. Please ensure you have the requisite experience for the liveaboard you choose. Itineraries are dependant on a number of factors including weather conditions and the diving ability of all guests. Although every effort will be made to follow a scheduled itinerary, the decision o the Captain and Dive Guides is final.

Due to the nature of liveaboard diving, you should expect to forgo some of the usual comforts of a shore-based holiday. Please note that storage space and facilities may be limited on board.

Diving Qualifications

All dive centres used by Geo-Dive Ltd are approved by one or more of the following associations: PADI, BSAC and SII now CMAS. Only divers presenting an internationally recognized diving certification will be allowed to dive. Please ensure you take your logbook and certification card with you.

Some resorts may require divers to undertake a short orientation dive to familiarize themselves with local conditions and practices.

Extra Beds

Where hotel rooms are large enough, it is often possible for a third person to share the room, usually on a camp bed/ Z bed. The third person will receive a reduction as detailed in the price panel for the hotel.

Extra Costs

Not included: insurance, visas, optional excursions, transport or accommodation in the UK, overseas departure taxes, border taxes, National Park fees, port fees (where applicable), items of personal expenditure etc. Certain hotel facilities and sports may incur an extra charge, which is payable locally. Local sales taxes may apply in resort.

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office Travel Advice Unit issues advice to inform travellers about all countries. We recommend that you check this information before you travel at www.fco.gov.uk

Gala Dinners

A Christmas Gala Dinner or the New Year’s Gala Dinner as specified in the hotel price panel may take place on either Christmas/New Year’s Eve or Christmas/New Year’s Day. At some hotels, the cost of this Gala Dinner is included. Please see individual price panels for details

Health

Vaccination and health requirements vary between countries and are subject to change. Please consult your doctor or travel clinic for the latest information.

If you are prone to illness, or take specific medication, please ensure that you carry a sufficient supply, as some medicine may be unavailable. We recommend you take a first aid kit containing insect repellent, and remedies for stomach upsets and dehydration.

Hotel Rating

Hotel ratings vary considerably between countries. Due to the fact that no official international rating system exists. Geo-Dive Ltd does not classify hotels in this manner. For more information about any accommodation featured in this website, please call Geo-Dive Ltd.

Inter-connecting rooms

These are available at some hotels. If you only book one room, the inner-connecting door will be locked. If you require inter-connecting rooms, you will need to book, and pay for, two rooms.

Late Bookings

We are happy to handle late bookings at no extra charge unless ‘ticket on departure’ charged are levied. If you book within 14 days of departure we will require credit or debit card details or bank-transfer on a request basis and we require full payment when availability is confirmed.

Lost Property

If you lose any personal items whilst on holiday, please obtain a written report from our local representative or a police officer to help with any subsequent insurance claim.

Passports and Visas

Passengers for all destinations must be in possession of a full British passport, valid for at least six months beyond the date of return. It is entirely your responsibility to ensure that your passport and travel/visa documentation is in order and available for inspection by the relevant authorities.

It is the responsibility of non-British passport holders to consult the appropriate embassies or consulates where necessary for relevant advice.

Seasonal Differences

Seasonal differences may affect facilities in your accommodation as well as in the resort. We are unable to predict seasonal differences as these vary annually and between resorts, determined by hotel occupancy levels and the weather. If there is a significant reduction in facilities, we will endeavor to inform you as soon as possible prior to travel.

Air-conditioning, central heating and pool heating system, where mentioned in our descriptions, may only operate at certain times of a day or year, as the hotel owner or manager deems appropriate. These temperature-controlling system may not be as sophisticated as you expect. During local or national holiday, museums, sightseeing tours and shops may be closed or have limited opening times.

Special Dates

Most countries take part in public holidays, religious or otherwise. Such festivities may temporarily interfere with your holiday plans, however most are great fun to take part in. We recommend that you bear these in mind when you choose your departure date.

Special Needs and Requests

Facilities for customers with special needs vary between hotels and resorts. Some hotels are not recommended for wheelchairs or the less mobile. Please call Geo-dive Ltd. for more information.

If you need wheelchair assistance, please let us know so that we can pre-arrange this in resort. If you are unable to use the standard coach transfer between the resort airport and your accommodation, we may be able to arrange taxi transfers at an additional charge.
